All 32 NFL teams are in training camp, with critical injuries starting to pile up.

Here are the injuries you need to know.

Reaction To Joe Burrow And Jalen Ramsey’s Potential Injuries

Joe Burrow gave the NFL community a scare when he was carted off the practice field. Early speculation was that it could have been his Achilles, but Bengals head coach Zac Taylor confirmed it was just a calf injury.

Jalen Ramsey was carted off but didn’t receive the same promising news as Burrow. While his ACL is intact, Ramsey will still require surgery and likely will be out until December.

Garrett Wilson hobbled to the locker room early in training camp and was diagnosed with a low ankle sprain. Wilson did not appear in the Hall of Fame preseason game against the Browns but is expected to be good to go for Saturday’s practice.

Kadarius Toney’s brief NFL career has been riddled with injuries, and he’s already got 2023 started with another. On the opening day of training camp in Kansas City, Toney suffered what seemed to be a minor knee tweak that Chiefs’ head coach Andy Reid later said required surgery for a torn meniscus. The hope is that Toney could be back for Week 1.

Kupp missed the final half of the 2022 season and is now dealing with a hamstring injury that could keep him sidelined for multiple weeks. The hope remains that Kupp will be able to return for Week 1 after an MRI, but Kupp’s injury history will have the Rams extra cautious.

Patrick suffered a torn Achilles tendon in practice after missing all of the 2022 season with a torn ACL. An unfortunate break for Patrick in the biggest of ways, leaving him out all of 2023.

It was revealed that then-Broncos WR was diagnosed with pericarditis, a heart condition, after feeling chest pains while working out. The Broncos then waived Hamler, hoping to resign him early in the regular season once he’s cleared. Denver opted to waive Hamler instead of placing him on the NFI/Reserve list to keep him from being out for the entire season and save a roster spot.

The Colts running back room has been in disarray with All-Pro Jonathan Taylor holding out for a new contract with owner Jim Irsay not budging, leaving Zack Moss as the lead back in the short-term, but he suffered a broken arm in practice. Moss underwent surgery, leaving himself with a six-week timetable to return, lining up hopefully for Week 1 if Taylor still has not returned.

The Seahawks second year running back Kenneth Walker III remains sidelined with a groin injury. Seahawks head coach Pete Carroll noted not much appeared on the MRI, so they want to be overly cautious so the injury doesn’t linger throughout the season.

The second of the Seahawks’ running back tandem, rookie Zach Charbonnet was sidelined with an unclear shoulder injury at the time. Luckily, Charbonnet returned to practice Thursday, August 3rd, bringing a sigh of relief to the Seahawks running back room with Kenneth Walker III still out.

Trai Turner was a free agent until the Saints scooped him up at the start of training camp to bolster their offensive line when he went down in practice with a torn quadriceps on one of the opening days of Saints camp—an unfortunate injury for the former Pro-Bowl guard who waited awhile to find a new home.

Cowboys’ starting safety Donovan Wilson recently suffered a severe calf injury expected to keep him out for four to six weeks, threatening his Week 1 availability.
